Dear Scott:

I am writing this letter to thank you for arranging my wonderful trip to Chile. Everything was well planned and worked out very nicely. The hotel accommodations were excellent and the guides (both Jaime Droguett in northern Chile and Eduardo Brownell in central Chile) were people who were pleasant to be with and very cosiderate and knowledgeable. I started the trip in Tacna, Peru very close to the Chilean border where I was picked up and transferred to Arica where the actual travel in Chile began. From Arica, I travelled by car through the coastal and desert regions via Iquique, Calama, San Pedro de Atacama, and Antofagasta. Then I flew to Santiago and visited Valparaiso and the Las Lingues gacienda in San Fernando. I made a side trip to Robinson Crusoe Island in the Juan Fernandez archipelago and then came back to Santiago to stay at the Santa Rita vineyards. I flew to Puerto Montt in the Chilean lake district and drove in a rented car to Puerto Varas, Frutillar, and Puyehuelle on the shore of Lake Llanquihue. I then flew to Punta Arenas in Patagonia and made a side trip with Aerovias DAP to Antarctica. Returning to Punta Arenas, I visited the Torres del Paine national park with a side trip to El Calafate and the Perito Moreno glacier in Argentina. At the end, I flew back to Santiago and made a side trip to the Cuyo region of Argentina by flying to Mendoza. I flew back to Santiago before leaving Chile.

The trip was logistically complicated but everything worked out very well and the entire trip was most informative and enjoyable. I saw many fascinating sights in an extremely varied country. I hope to visit Chile again in the future and I will definitely use the services of Chilean Special Journeys because I was satisfied with the trip.

Dear ITN,

Based on a recommendation from one of the reporters in your paper a group of us took a chance, and went to Chile with Scott Jones of Chilean Special Journeys.

We arranged our trip for 12 through e mail. We all were getting a little apprehensive as the travel time got closer. Who was this Scott Jones and his organization? Did he really exist? Well, thankfully he and his organization do exist.

What a wonderful trip we had! Everything worked out so smoothly. My husband and I had a particular problem. My husband did not feel well enough to go on to the next leg of the trip from Santiago. Our guide, Eduardo, helped us get my husband admitted into a hospital. Eduardo stayed with us and translated and saw that my husband got proper treatment. He and Scott also helped to set me up in a hotel near the hospital. In addition to that, a wheelchair was needed. That was taken care of with no problem for us. We were then able to re join the group.

Every guide in every location we went to was just wonderful. They were so knowledgeable about the region, their love of country and people just exuded from them.

On Easter Island we had a wonderful fish dinner at the home of our guide who was from one of the leading families on the Island. In Patagonia we had a wonderful grilled lamb and chicken dinner at the home of a sheep rancher and then a tour of the ranch and a demonstration of sheep shearing.

Every one of the guides was just perfect. Every place we visited was exciting.

Scott is to be commended for his choice of guides and also the drivers of the buses were so helpful.

The trip exceeded our wildest expectations.

The other people in the group and I will be talking about this wonderful trip for a long, long time, and will highly recommend Scott Jones and Chilean Special Journeys to everyone. We did indeed see Chile at it's special best.

Should any of your prospective clients need an endorsement for you, your company and your employees, you certainly have one from me. I was most impressed with you, a young American having moved to Chile some years ago being so knowledgeable on all sights, facilities and tranportation of the most progressive South American country. The adventures you arranged for my third trip to Chile were perfect. Being one of the most traveled persons - so a travel club states - I could find no fault with any arrangements from the desert in the North, Robinson Crusoe Island to the Magellan Straits and all places in between.
